NEWS 03/28/16/1526 - Resuming updating Actor Listings.
We are now resuming adding and updating free Florida actor listings.
This does NOT apply to the Featured Florida Actors section, which is still on hold. We will no longer be posting Featured Actor listings for the general public, nor will we post headshots or photographs from non-affiliated photographers and photography companies without a written release; future Featured Florida Actor listings will be limited to the clients of Aurora PhotoArts.
If you wish to be added to Florida Actors, it is free, and you will be added to the general listing below the Featured Florida Actors section on the same page.

To add your listing to the Florida Actors Actor/Talent Available Board, please send the information indicated below to our email address, which is on our contact page. You must provide a URL to your online headshot image, or a website where your (headshot) can be found. Your ad will be reviewed to see if it complies with our posting requirements, and you will be notified by Email as soon as your listing is on the board. Posts stay up for approximately 6-8 months. Paid listings are posted above free listings. This board is geographically specific to Florida, and does not accept adult-oriented listings, or links to images/websites that contain content which is not family and career-friendly. We post listings generally within two business days of the time of receipt, excluding weekends and holidays.

Agent/s: Agency/ Agencies, contact name, and telephone number. This was a field from the old Florida Actors site, and it is outdated. It is NOT recommended that you post agency information, as you will be doing work for your agency (they should be finding and referring job leads to you, and not the other way around). Although we will not assume risk, and you use our audition and job board at your own risk, it can be opined that an agency will not assume risk, either, especially when they can say that the actor is the one who found the job lead to begin with, shifting the blame for a bad deal to the actor, and they will still keep their agency fees regardless of what happens with the job.

AGENCY WARNING: Please, actors, do not use your agency or agent to screen job offers! Why? Because you will be doing their job for them by finding job leads, and it will cost both you and the job that you are trying to book agency fees if you book it by running it though a talent agency. It defeats the purpose of using job boards and web sites, and most acting job sources will not cast you if they post to an acting job board and then have to deal with an agency, as the point of posting on job boards like ours is to avoid going through an agency and not have to pay agency fees. There are others ways to screen job offers and to reduce you risk, and although we cannot make any guarantees, neither can an agency; you basically use common sense, check out a job offer before responding to it, and use this at your own risk while taking precautions. A talent agency is not going to be able to do any better than you can in this process, they will not assume responsibility, and if the deal goes south, they will blame you, anyway, while keeping their agency fees. Think for yourself and do not allow yourself to be dependent upon an agency! Please note that you are not required to be represented by an agency in order to have a career as a professional actor. Smart independent actors obtain representation from several talent agencies, and only use them as one of many sources of jobs while finding and booking work on their own as well. Don't be a sucker, and do not put your faith in false security.
